You guys literally gave birth to us. We started with a vision, but you brought it to life.
Before our crowdfunding process, we surveyed over 300 professionals within the VFX industry and asked them what improvements they needed to see in action stock footage. They helped guide us to discover many areas that are lacking from pre-existing visual effects assets.
We were surprised to find out how many requests were for simple things, like keeping the effects in frame, avoiding overexposure, etc. Not only did we implement those things, but this helped us make our products so much better than we could have ever made ourselves.
In November of 2015 we launched a 30-day Kickstarter campaign with the overall goal of $20,000. By the end of the 30-day period, we had reached over $59,000, funding our goal 296%. This is a huge indication to us of how big the demand for quality VFX assets are.

Unmatched Quality
We correctly captured our assets with the Red Epic Dragon. This camera shoots at a high dynamic range, which provides great latitude and detail.
When filming, we took the time to double and triple check calibration of our exposure between takes. This was a major point that we had to get right, if any of our shots were not exposed correctly, then they wouldn’t match up with your final comp.
We also wanted to make sure that users wouldn’t have to worry about our effects leaving the frame. For example, if an explosion asset leaves the frame and you want to rescale it to fit your scene, you would have to go through the tedious process of masking and feathering the edges, and trying to hide the faults of the effect.
Quality is the name of our game, which is why we offer the original unkeyed 10-bit files that were shot in .R3D which means there is more detail retained. All of these features give you a lot more options with the assets when you get them into post.
