From massive Dust Waves and Cannons to 3D-scanned Gore Textures, get creative with our new VFX stock footage.
We're excited to be dropping our first VFX Collections of 2020! The team has been working diligently to bring you these products, and I think you're going to like what we have for you.
Welcome Large Scale Dust Waves, Cannon Blasts, and Gore Textures to our product library. We're covering a lot of ground in our library with this release, so let's jump into what the Collections can do for your shots.
It doesn't get much bigger than this. These VFX elements were made for large impacts hitting the ground, causing a huge shockwave of dust to go rushing through the air. Despite their size, these effects also stay entirely in the frame.
In your scene, you could imagine a large meteor impact or a building collapsing, creating a large dust cloud billowing forward. Look at the destruction these new elements can cause below!
These elements come with variations such as the amount of dust, direction, and the shape of the dust wave. They are CG, so we offer multi-channel EXRs to give artists more control.
Thanks to our friends at Unboxed Reality, these textures will bring next-level gore to your scenes. The creation of these assets went through multiple stages. First, realistic wounds were built practically with makeup prosthetics. They were then 3D-scanned by Unboxed Reality and were rendered to give artists like you the opportunity to composite life-like wounds with the benefits of multi-channel EXRs.
The EXRs add tremendous value. Some of the passes include the Skin Mask, Separate Light Passes, Specular Lighting, among many others! That's right, you will be able to change the skin tone, lighting, specularity, and much more!
The variations include generic cuts and wounds, bullet and burn wounds, and gashes. These wound textures will pair perfectly with our other gore elements.
There are also wet and dry versions of some of the wounds!
Whether it's a large artillery gun or an actual cannon used for your Civil War battlefield scene, the Cannon Blasts VFXcan be used in a variety of ways. One production note I want to mention is that the smoke captured was from a real cannon. We built a giant green screen to capture as much smoke as possible!
