This footage was shot at 120fps, which is perfect for use with slow-motion shots. It was also shot on a green screen to help retain the thick smoke in the scene.
Plus, it was shot in 6K resolution for unbelievable detail and realism. And last but not least, the explosions in this video were real large-scale explosions that spread out on the ground instead of going straight up in the air. They were also shot wide enough to capture most of the explosion, but close enough to still have some amazing detail.

The long-awaited sequel to our first Dirt Blasts VFX collection is finally available. This collection can be used for landmines, grenade explosions, and any type of dirt charge - perfect for war movie scenes when mortars are dropping.
With this sequel, we wanted to make sure that we included even more variations in the details so that you could create the most realistic and impactful scenes possible. To do this, we included different dirt amounts and sizes of blasts.
This collection includes several close-up shots that show the extreme detail of the dirt blast. These shots were taken on a green screen so that more depth would be retained.

The Sand Blasts VFX collection will be your go-to source the next time you need to add bombs, grenades, or any other type of large impact or explosion happening in a sandy environment such as a beach or desert. These new types of debris explode with even more realism, making your sandy scene look even more believable to the viewer.
When it comes to the scale of the explosion/blast, it's important to consider how big or small you want it to be. Some blasts are very large while others are smaller and stay 100% in frame. The smaller blasts will be great for small explosions and less intense impacts.
As for the sand mixture, there are versions with only chunky/wet-looking sand as well as ones with fine dusty sand in the mix. Each has its benefits and drawbacks, so it's important to choose the one that's right for your needs.
