We're giving you some of our goriest effects for free to create your most terrifying 30-second story.

It's the spookiest time of the year, and ActionVFX is celebrating it with the 2021 Halloween VFX Challenge! We're giving you a chance to flex your bone-chilling VFX skills with a free Halloween Pack that you can redeem right now.
Let's dive into how to participate in this challenge, how to download those free VFX elements, and what prizes are up for grabs.

Rules To Enter The Halloween VFX Challenge šŸŽƒ

  • You must tell us your spookiest story in 30 seconds or below
  • You must use ALL six VFX elements in the free Halloween Pack
  • Only ActionVFX elements can be used (However, you can use stock assets from other places for Sound FX, Music, 3D Models, etc.)
  • You must have the right to use all materials used in your story
  • You have until midnight EST on October 25th to submit your story
  • Winners will be announced October 29th
  • By participating in this contest, you agree to allow ActionVFX to showcase your submission for marketing purposes

How To Download The Free Halloween Pack šŸ†“

  • Head to the ActionVFX Redeem page
  • Sign in to your account (or create one)
  • Enter the code HALLOWEEN21
  • You will be redirected to your My Downloads page
  • All six elements will be under "FREE - Halloween VFX Challenge"

Where To Submit Your Finished 30-Second Story šŸ“

  • The submissions will be hosted on the ActionVFX Forum for the world to see
  • Click over to the Contest Submission category HERE
  • There you will find Submission Rules and Guidelines, as well as an example submission to follow
  • When adding your submission to the Forum, be sure to click the "optional tags" button and use the tag "halloween-2021"
  • Read the instructions there carefully!

  • How well you composite your VFX
  • How well you incorporate the elements into your story
  • The overall story
  • The production value
