From Quicksilver to The Flash and even Morbius, there are tons of superheroes that rely on their super-speed abilities to save the day. The good news is that creating these effects doesn’t have to be a difficult process. 

In fact, this tutorial was created with the beginner in mind, including some basics on creating masks and adjustment layers.



This AE tutorial will cover:

  • The basics of creating composition and masks. 
  • An introduction to adjustment layers.
  • How to add effects and create keyframes.
  • How to create a very simple super-speed effect using simple masking.
  • How to add our Energy Bursts to create smoke burst effects.
