Coming Soon: Our Crowd Stock Footage Will Revolutionize Virtual Crowd Replication

Our Crowd stock footage collections can effectively change the way productions implement virtual crowds into a scene.

The VFX and filmmaking industry has taken many hits due to COVID-19, and a year later we are still experiencing the shock wave.

It not only pushed many artists to remote work, but it postponed or canceled productions as officials began forming a plan to fight the virus. For many of us, we saw our favorite TV shows or movies being scheduled for a later date as social distancing guidelines became our new normal.

How ActionVFX Crowds Stock Footage Can Benefit Productions

With COVID forcing creators to be more careful in the way they implement large crowds into their shot, ActionVFX saw a chance to not only revolutionize the way virtual crowds are created, but to allow creatives a chance to do crowd work in a much cheaper and easier way.
On May 3rd, 2021, we will introduce a new category called People and Crowds, and with it two new collections: Sports Crowds and Concert Crowds.

This means that industry productions will no longer need to film individuals on green while bringing hundreds of other extras to create a massive crowd. We've done the work for you. This creates a safe environment for your set and crew as we navigate an uncertain world rattled by a pandemic.

In the end, the goal at ActionVFX is to create industry-standard VFX stock footage that will save you a post-production headache. And we know forming large crowds of people is certainly not a smart choice right now. We safely invited actors and actresses one by one into our studio to begin curating People and Crowds stock footage in detail that's never been done.

What Will Sports Crowds Stock Footage Look Like?

There will be 300+ clips of Sports Crowd elements, with 15 different angles to fully cover any type of perspective you may have for a field or arena.

The variations in the clips include:
  • People with different skin tones, body types, ages, and heights.
  • Each person performs different actions that you would see at a sporting event.
  • There are sitting and standing versions of each person so they can be used in a variety of different settings.
  • The clothing being worn is different throughout the collection.
  • All clothing was chosen specifically so that the people could be duplicated without any one person standing out.

Each Sports Crowd clip performs the same actions in the same order and for the same amount of time. Sporting events can be electric, such as a close basketball game or a winning goal in a soccer game, so we wanted to capture that. This also allows for studios to build out a database for easy population of large crowds.

There is a "team color" of royal blue that can easily be changed in post to fit any team colors and also add variation to the crowd.

The Sports Crowd clips include people sitting idle, sitting and cheering, jumping up in excitement, sad in defeat, and more!

All of these different forms of rooting for a team will equip your scene with a real, organic-looking crowd that truly cares about the event that is being filmed.

What Will Concert Crowds Stock Footage Look Like?

There will be 300+ clips of Concert Crowd elements, with 15 different angles that can fill a venue quickly, no matter the perspective.

The variations in clips include:
  • People with different skin tones, body types, ages, and heights.
  • Each person performs different actions that you would see at a concert.
  • There is dancing for both upbeat and slower music to fit various settings.
  • There are sitting and standing versions of each person so they can be used in a variety of different settings.
  • All clothing was chosen specifically so that the people could be duplicated without any one person standing out.

Like the Sports Crowds, each Concert Crowd clip performs the same actions in the same order and for the same amount of time. We wanted to showcase the energy one feels at a concert realistically. There are slow songs and more upbeat song reactions, depending on the look your crowd needs to be performing.

You can easily adjust the hue of the clothing to create more variations in your crowd of people.

From sitting, clapping, and intense cheering to dancing to upbeat music at 60 and 120 bpm, your concert crowd reactions can easily be done with our stock footage.
